As a Marketing and Communication Specialist at Digital America, a digital art publishing website, my primary role involves working collaboratively with my colleagues to develop creative and effective marketing strategies. Our goal is to attract high-quality submissions from talented artists and designers for the bi-annual issue publishing. This task requires a deep understanding of the art world, the latest trends and developments in digital art, and the ability to communicate effectively with both our internal team and advisor. I led various creative and strategic projects that involved collaboration with artists and brand management.

Content Strategy & Curation: I curated and developed content for Digital America’s online platform, ensuring it aligned with the brand’s vision and resonated with our audience. This involved planning, scheduling, and executing features to showcase emerging digital artists and trends.

Interviewing and Collaboration: I conducted in-depth interviews with featured artists, working closely with them to represent their work and perspectives accurately. This required strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust and convey each artist's unique voice, a skill directly applicable to account management.

Creative Execution: Besides curation, I designed digital assets and wrote compelling pieces for our platform, aligning each piece with Digital America’s brand identity. This hands-on, creative work taught me how to craft visually cohesive, impactful narratives—an essential strategic brand-building skill.

Brand Building and Audience Engagement: Through my work, I strengthened Digital America’s brand presence by connecting with our niche audience of digital art enthusiasts. This experience underscored the importance of audience insight and brand authenticity, key skills for strategy roles.

At Digital America, I leveraged Meta and Instagram’s promotional tools to boost our social media presence, increasing our Instagram account’s following by 76% leading up to the launch of the 23rd issue. By employing a targeted strategy that included engaging posts, interactive stories, and artist spotlights, I created anticipation and excitement around the upcoming release. This approach not only expanded our follower base but also strengthened our connection with Digital America’s community of digital art enthusiasts.
